A Cleanliness Drive was organised by S. B. P. D. A. V. Centenary Public School,Fatehabad under Swachhata hi Seva Programme. The main purpose of this programme was to create awareness among the people regarding Cleanliness and its benefits.

All the N.S.S.volunteers and some other students of class IX and X participated under this programme. The Principal Mrs. Sunita Madaan and other teachers were the essential part of this drive. As a part of this Cleanliness Drive,the area selected was the area near Papiha Park,Fatehabad and the surrounding roadsides. The area is a common place for people for morning and evening walk. The local vendors sell eatables outside park which causes spreading of waste and unclean area. Therefore this site was selected to create awareness among people and vendors for Cleanliness.

 Principal started the programme by picking the wrappers and garbage. Some students encouraged the people inside the park with their banners and posters and took round of the area in the form of rally. Music teachers Mr. Mukesh Rahi and Dr. Ashwani Sharma inspired the crowd with their musical touch by singing songs on Cleanliness. All the students started picking the wrappers lying scattered here and there and threw into the dustbins. Some of them picked the brooms and started their job. After doing this job for more than one hour, all assembled in the park and invited all people in park to be a part of Drive. Thereafter Principal delivered the speech telling the importance of sanitation. In the end ,all took oath of keeping home, locality and city clean. The representative of Udyan an NGO formed by alumni of school for environmental issues also expressed his views and motivated the gathering to contribute in making City clean. The incharge of Swachh Bharat mission , Mr. Saurav also informed about segregation of waste at home to reduce waste and recycle the waste that can be done at every home. One NSS volunteer expressed his concern about cleanliness and motivated all to work in the direction of making City among top ten Cities in clean cities ranking. The programme ended with vote of thanks to all the participants and Team of Swach bharat mission
